Chelsey Richard Napoleon, Clerk of Civil District Court for Orleans Parish Announces the New Official Journal and New Filing Fees Pursuant to La. R.S. 43:201.1, Chelsey Richard Napoleon, Clerk of Civil District Court, selected The New Orleans Advocate as the official journal for all advertisements required to be made in relation to judicial proceedings. The New Orleans Advocate provided the lowest qualifying response to the annual selection process required by law. This selection was effective June 29, 2018 and will commence August 1, 2018.
The New Orleans Advocate will print judicial advertisements at the rate of $0.19 per agate line. Additionally, judicial and legal ads will be posted online at The New Orleans Advocate’s website www.theadvocate.com at no extra charge.
Advertisements must be received by The New Orleans Advocate at least thirty-six (36) hours prior to the publication date, and can be submitted via email to the official journal’s Media Sales Consultant, Yvette Dellucky at firstname.lastname@example.org. The New Orleans Advocate prefers that attachments be sent as a Word document; however, advertisements in pdf format are also acceptable.
In addition the selection of a new official journal, the Clerk of Civil District Court announced new filing fees established by the Louisiana Judges’ Supplemental Compensation Fund Board that went into effect on July 1, 2018. The Louisiana Judges’ Supplemental Compensation Fund Board informed the Clerk of a $0.50 increase per civil filing, as authorized by La. R.S. 13:10.3 (Act 63 of the 1985 Regular Session of the Legislature).
